Workin' hard for the money

Work has been flat out lately, I've definitely earned my keep there! I've found solace in the gym to deal with the stress & it's been really good for me health wise. I signed my life away and have been going regularly with a 3.9kg loss in the last week!! It's funny how having a gym buddy keeps the motivation up :)

4WD fun in the rain :)

Picture this...Its cold and wet outside, You have been sick all week and still aren't feeling great. Its been pouring rain all night and the radio keeps reading flood warnings out and urging people to stay safe indoors, your hubby has to go to town. What do you do?????

Well you ask him to take the 4wD and go with him armed with your camera of course!!! Well at least this is what I did LOL!

Luke had to go into town so I did the exact above, and it was awesome fun :) First we went into town to do the jobs he had to do, but then we went 4WDing!! We headed down to Thompsons Beach, and instead of staying on the sealed road like all normal people were doing, We went on the bush track. Water laying everywhere from the rain over the past month, and the Murray River is raging! There is supposed to be a sandy beach there (hence the name Thompson's Beach) but its all under water too. I haven't seen floods like this before and so I was fascinated, I got out of the car and went snap happy. (and ended up with very wet feet!) From there we went back through town and filled up with fuel and headed home, slowing so that I could take pics of the neighbours flooded paddocks.

We drove past the house and went into Katty, not much happening there so we went down the dirt section of Chapel Rd, and started slip sliding around - so fun!!!!!! I cant get over how fast the creek is running also, Theres white wash on the rocks. I don't think Luke was quite ready to go home yet, so we went driving down a random dirt back track at the back of Katty, that we have never been down before, and preceeded to slip slide some more before hubby decided he best get out and lock the hubs in so we could use 4WD if we needed to...!! I got a couple of photos of the creek and then it was home time.

I cant wait until a few weeks time when we have new rims and proper mud tyres! Imagine the fun we can have in the rain then!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll leave you with some photos of our journey now...

Until next time.....

xo
There's supposed to be a boat ramp there...And the beach is under water...This is what I had to contend with when walking around...

New iPhone app sp no more excuses!

No more excuses lol, I've downloaded a blogger app to my iPhone so regardless of where I am I can write a post. I'm home sick today, after a topsy-turvy weekend of my voice coming & going it finally disappeared totally. Woke up this morning and could only just whisper- Not to mention I had been coughing up blood & barking like a dog most of the night, So off to the dr I went. Usual winter bs- throats red raw & chests crackly, but it's everywhere at the moment & not much more I can do other than rest & keep dosed up on antibiotics & cough syrup. Hoping to get back to work tomorrow but currently my voice is only at 25% so see how I go...

About time I updated

Not sure if anyone even reads this, but I figured its been a while since I have updated so I may aswell let you know what I have been up to.

The year started off okay, but has turned and twisted since!

My blood test results kept coming back abnormal since the tonsillectomy and so the surgeon referred me back to my doctor who reffered me to a rheumatologist. I had an appointment with the rheumatologist on the 18th of March and he diagnosed Fibromyalgia. I wasnt really happy with the way it has been diagnosed, or the treatment from the specialist who gave me a business card with a website address on it and said "all the information you need will be on there" and then dismissed me. I got most of the info from the better health website.

http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/fibromyalgia?opendocument

The best way to describe it is fairly constant unexplained pain in the muscles and associated nerves. Im on medication morning and night and have started aqua aerobics for strength development and weight loss. About a month on I am feeling alot better. Ive lost 3kg and quite happy in myself for that. The information I have read also mentioned stress has a huge influence on pain, so I have also handed in resignation at my old job!

The plan was to resign and see what happens, but the day I resigned I was also offered a new fulltime job so I started that on Monday. It is so weird wanting to go to work and not feeling anxious about it all. In between resigning and starting a new job I also spent 3 days in hospital with what turned out to be a viral infection of some kind. I had started vomiting all of a sudden and temp was spiking along with pain where my appendix used to be. Thankfully I was well enough after 3 days to be discharged and then start my new job the following Monday, it was cutting it close!!!!

The rest of the time since new years has been quite busy with 2x weddings of work colleagues, Various friends birthdays and other functions.

This weekend coming is our Anzac long weekend. We are headed to Geelong for our close friends wedding, then home for 3 days and then off to brisbane to become godparents again :) Seriously cant wait for that one!!!!!!!

Suppose now I am just rambling so if you have made it this far congrats and thanks for reading :)

Cheers,

xx Bella
